Ways to Exfoliate Lips Naturally at Home

Are you dealing with dry, chapped, dark and dull looking lips? If yes, then it is a time to exfoliate them. Exfoliation is known to remove dead epidermal layer and revealing a new healthy layer of the skin.  Here are some ways that you can follow to get rid of various lip problems.

How to Exfoliate Lips Naturally

Brown Sugar Or Just Sugar

Sugar is a natural exfoliant that you can use to get rid of dead and old skin cells. You can use a mixture of brown sugar and olive oil for exfoliation. Mix both of them and apply it on the area. Massage your lips for a minute and then leave it on for a few minutes. Finally use wet wash cloth to remove it off your skin. Use this remedy daily to have pinkish soft lips naturally.

Sweet Exfoliator

Honey has antibacterial, skin lightening, moisturizing and healing properties. Mix it with some sugar to make a paste.  Apply it on your lips and massage gently for a minutes or two. Allow it to dry and when it dries use water to rinse the area.

Toothbrush

If you don’t want to apply anything then you can use a baby tooth brush to exfoliate your lips. All you have to do is to apply some almond oil on a tooth brush and brush your lips in circular motions for two minutes and then remove the oil with damp cloth.

My Fav.Baking Soda

This is my favorite recipe it is simple to make and use and all you need is a pinch of baking soda. Mix a pinch of baking soda with a few drops of water to make a paste. Use your finger to rub it on your lips for a minute and then wash the area with cold water. Use it thrice every week to have pinkish glowing lips. Do not use it if your skin type is too sensitive.

Lemon Juice Method

Dark discolored lips can be easily treated with lemon juice. Here you have to mix one teaspoon each of lemon juice, castor oil and glycerin together. Keep this mix in a small glass bottle and whenever you want to use it just apply it on your lips, massage and then wash.

Rose Petals

Take a tablespoon of raw milk and put some dried rose petals in it. You can also use fresh petals. After a few hours make milk and petals paste. You can also add sugar in this mixture. Use the resultant paste to scrub the area.

These were some easy-to-use types of tips that you can use to naturally exfoliate your lips at home.
